Hello MSA,

The Department of Geoscience at UNLV has just received several funded graduate assistantships that were unanticipated during our admissions process.

If you know of any students who are making their minds up late to go to graduate school, please encourage them to apply.

Our department (http://geoscience.unlv.edu/) has 17 faculty engaged in a broad variety of research including volcanology, planetary science, high pressure geophysics, tectonics, structural geology, hydrology, climate change, etc., etc.

The GA positions are not tied to any particular faculty member and, thus, allow the admitted students significant freedom to select an advisor in any of our sub-disciplines.

They can contact me directly. Thank you.

-Adam
